The Olympics are over, and as I watch the interviews with the athletes in the midst of the excitement, I notice one thing.
The coach said, "I'm going to win a gold medal! They believed in their coach's words anyway. As a result, the women's basketball team achieved a great accomplishment.
What is the power to change the impossible into the possible?
How can such a miracle happen just by believing?
What a thought, isn't it?
However, when we believe in something, we gain confidence, which leads to mental strength.
I have witnessed this firsthand in my own home.
Last December, by chance, a young pastor Bernard and exchange student from Ghana, Africa, came to our house as a homestay guest.
He is a very spiritual person, and he loves to pray. He prays for two or three hours a day, which surprised me, even as a Christian.

You may think that's a bunch of hooey.
But in fact, when my personal friends come to my house to pray and interact with him, they receive various prophecies for the future, regardless of age, gender, or anything else.
Already, more than a dozen people have come to my house in prayer and told me things about their past and desires for the future that they have not told anyone, and to my surprise, I feel that the messages have given them the strength to live positively.
For example, yesterday, Bernard prayed for a woman in her 40s who was going through a divorce.
I told her that the message he received from God at Bernard was not about divorce or not, but that it was her turn.
He told her that she would be happier in the future and that each of her two daughters would have this kind of career, and he also told her about her mother's back pain.
He also gave some advice.
Bernard felt her pain and gave her some advice. He felt her pain and advised her to put the past behind her and focus on what's ahead, especially today.
Even though we know this, but we humans are weak.
It's hard for us to switch to that way.
But there was a ray of light in her heart.

When she spoke to me afterwards, she said, "It made me realize that I need to cherish this day and move forward.
She also said, "I'll come back to the ministry next time because I might forget to be positive and get depressed again."
Of course, it's because Bernard has a gentle heart, but it's great to see friends who come to our house always when leave with a smile on their face and a glow in their eyes.
Traditional church prayers are sometimes too formal and you can't feel the power of the Holy Spirit.
But in my house, his prayers and prophecies bring something positive and powerful.
When we prayed online yesterday, Bernard focused on the verse from the Bible about prophecy building life.
(1 Corinthians 14:3) But he who prophesies edifies, rebukes, and speaks comfort to others.
Each person who has been prayed for in our home according to these words will be healed, encouraged, and given strength.
I am happy to be able to witness this.
I feel that sincere prayer and prophecy can be a catalyst to give each person confidence and strength, just like the women's basketball team who, despite being told the result was impossible, were able to believe the coach's words and win the silver medal.
I feel that the Olympic athletes have taught me once again the strength of belief.
May the prayers and prophecies in our home continue to give us that "strength to believe".
